You’ll be lucky to spot a cheeky grin on one of these strong and silent types. As part of the British Army, Guards can be found at Tower of London, Windsor Castle and Horse Guards along with London’s palaces, where they’re titled King’s Guards. They work in two hour shifts, marching across their posts every so often. Known for their stoic stance, the unique bearskin hats were designed to make them appear even taller and more fearsome, with short straps fastened under their noses. The ‘Changing of the Guard’ has become synonymous with London, thanks to the iconic red tunics and military band. Make way for the King’s Guard!
