Collectable Cities x Edward Gorey

We've teamed up with the Edward Gorey Charitable trust on this hauntingly cool collaboration! Production of two new art toys has recently been funded on Kickstarter - Dracula, and a design of the artist himself.

The Collection

Dracula Art Toy

Holding his cape out in the shape of bat wings, this vision of Dracula is closely based on Gorey's illustration seen in the Deluxe novel and the Dracula Toy Theatre.

Key Rings

A selection of Gorey's favourite creatures to join you on your adventures! Black-nickel plated, 6-7cm charms. These will be available to purchase on our site in December, but getting them through the Kickstarter now supports the art toys.

Gorey Art Toy

It was not just his characters that had fabulous style - Gorey himself was a fashion icon, with fur coats, impressive beard and rings on every finger. So, as an ambitious stretch goal we’ll also produce an art toy of the legend himself, accessorized by… a cat of course.

Introducing

Edward Gorey

Prolific author and illustrator Edward Gorey’s distinctive style created a new genre in graphic storytelling: the sprightly disturbing. Born in Chicago in 1925, he spent much of his life in New York and later in a creaky house on Cape Cod, surrounded by cats and curiosities. His inked worlds of charm and dread reveal the beauty of the macabre, where even the darkest tales unfold with impeccable grace.

We've had the pleasure of working with the Edward Gorey Trust on this collaboration, who continue his legacy by supporting animal welfare for the creatures he loved most: cats, bats, and other animals in need.
