It was not just his characters that had fabulous style - Gorey himself was a fashion icon, with fur coats, impressive beard and rings on every finger. Gorey’s iconic pen-and-ink shaped a world where whimsy and darkness coexist with impeccable grace. Born in Chicago in 1925, he spent much of his life in New York before retreating to a creaky Cape Cod house, surrounded by cats and curiosities. A devoted lover of animals, ballet, and the theatre, his influence endures as one of the most singular creative voices of the 20th century.
Beautifully packaged in an illustrated gift box, accompanied by a hand-numbered collector's card.
